Cross Wires – Pink Dogs Review.

Cross Wires are a four piece band from Essex. From listening to some of their old material and now their new single, Pink Dogs, the band deserve a lot more recognition and I’m certain their debut album will be a strong one.

The track opens with a gentle riff before it’s joined by a low bass line and drums. You can hear influences of garage rock from the start but a fast paced beat with the clash of cymbols adds a great edge to the song.

There’s a fantastic instrumental build up to the chorus every time, which makes it pretty hard to not (at least) bop your head too. The shouty vocals, especially on the chorus, give the track quite a punk feel which I really love.

Every inch of this track has been exceptionally produced by Rory Attwell, who’s also produced albums for the likes of Palma Violets and The Vaccines, but by no means should the band’s musical talent be overshone.

It will be great to hear more music from Cross Wires later this year, you should definetely check them out.
