It’s nearing the end of Summer and soon we’ll have a load of fresh Autumn releases. But before we get there, I thought I’d have a look back on some of my favourite albums of 2016 so far.
Three brothers from New York make up Council. Patrick, Andy and Doug Reeves have recently released their debut EP called Rust To Gold and the single of the same name is a great pop anthem.
KONG is Conor Lindsey, Liam Dawson, Niall Dawson and Henry Sansom. These lads are bringing unforgettable bass lines and great lyrics in the form of their debut EP, 8 Ball Pool.
On Thursday 11th August, Joe and Jack Harvey, Rob Gration and Danny Armitage brought their distinct sound to The Sunflower Lounge. The boys, better known as Clay, have been grabbing people’s attention for a while now and I’ve been becoming a huge fan but this gig honestly exceeded my expectations.
After such a long wait for new music from Moose Blood, my anticipation for Blush was high. The band announced in April that they would be signing to Hopeless Records which scared a lot of fans as they didn’t want their sound to change. But this album has proved that they are still in touch with their roots.
