Tourists – Smokescreen (Live for BBC Introducing)

After the success of Tourists’ previous singles, the band have gained a lot of support from the BBC. This lead them to play at Radio 1’s Academy earlier this year. Now they have performed a small live show for BBC Introducing.

One of the tracks the band played was called Smokescreen. It’s currently unreleased but this flawless live performance makes me very excited to hear the studio version.

The track begins with spoken words from Graham Hancock which adds an intriguing yet slightly dark tone. But it sets the song up perfectly.

Tourists’ already dreamy sound is taken to another level here. The band are so captivating to watch and I think this is their best song to date. The lyrics are eye-opening but for me, the instrumental is the highlight throughout. There’s quite a mysterious feel to it and it’s complimented beautifully by the vocals.

I really love how Tourists’ music is developing. They’re an incredible band. You can watch the video for yourself below.
